I just shaved! How long does the hair need to be? The hair needs to be about a quarter of an inch long or the size of a short grain of rice. You need to be able to pull on the hair and have the skin move beneath it.
How bad does it hurt? Depending on the area and your pain tolerance it varies. However no waxing is painless no matter what anyone tells you. I will do my very best to make it the most comfortable experience that it can me. Talking an advil 45 min prior to the appointment can help as well as cutting down on caffeine that day. It’s also a good idea to some in sober. If you’re out for drinks and you think a little liquid courage will help, trust me, it won’t.
OMG, I just started my cycle! Can I still wax? Yes of course, as long as you’re still comfortable. It’s best that you use that restroom directly before the appointment to clean up and apply a new tampon. You may be slightly more sensitive but if you take advil 45 minutes before usually clients can’t tell the difference.
Do you double dip? Girl no. Sticks are cheap and I refuse to compromise the health of my clients and my reputation for laziness. And that’s how i feel about that!
What kind of wax do you use? I use both hard and soft wax with my technique. Depending on the area of the body and the skin sometimes the type of wax applied changes but I will always use my best professional judgement to keep the health of the skin at the forefront of the service.
Do you trim the pubic hair? Sorry, the answer is no, for hygienic purposes this isn’t a service we offer.
Can I bring my partner/gfriend/bfriend/wife/husband/CHILD? I’m sorry no, it distracts the esthetician and with children can become an insurance liability.
Why are your NOSHOW, LATE, and CANCELLATION policies so strict? There are always good reasons why you can’t make your appointment. All I need is a text from you. There was a trend of people simply not showing up to their appointments with no notice, which is rude. It is also inconvenient to the esthetician who could have filled that spot with another client who wanted to get in but couldn’t as we are appointment only.
When can I not wax? When you have been using Retinol products. If you are using Accutane. If you have any sort of burn or compromised skin in the area to be waxed.
